Police issue Covid fines after more than 30 cars attend meet up in Greenhithe

An illegal car race meeting near Dartford has seen petrolheads stopped in their tracks and issued with fines.

Police were called late last night following reports of more than 30 vehicles in the Greenhithe area.

Numerous vehicles were stopped and fined for breaching Covid regulations.

Fixed penalties start at £200.

It's not the first time the area has seen "boy racers" take to the streets with noisy meet-ups reported on the business estates by worried councillors and residents.
