Crash on slip road to M25 clockwise at junction 2, A2, Darenth Interchange

Traffic conditions on the M25 have returned to normal, following a crash involving a van and a car which blocked one lane of the A2 slip road.

The accident took place on the entry slip road on the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Darenth Interchange at 5.15pm.

A police spokesman said the collision involved a Honda car and a Mercedes Sprinter van. One man is reported to have minor injuries.

Traffic joining the motorway from the A2 is slow. Conditions returned to normal around 7.30pm.

Later this evening the northbound carriageway of the M25 will be closed so repair works can be carried out. From 10pm until 5.30am, the road will be shut at junction 30 near Thurrock.
