Dartford manager Tony Burman says he feels "a real buzz" around Princes Park as his side prepare for Saturday’s Blue Square Bet South opener at home to Havant.
With games against Farnborough, Ebbsfleet and Chelmsford to follow before the end of this month, it promises to be an exciting start to the campaign.
"I think our fans feel that we are back at the level of football that this club should be playing at," said Burman, pictured.
"I know that they will be patient as we find our feet in the first few weeks of the season."
Burman believes that the series of Kent derbies that Darts fans can look forward to against Bromley, Dover, Ebbsfleet and Welling has only added to the sense of excitement.
The Darts’ first derby showdown will be at home to Ebbsfleet on August 28, but first they must focus on overcoming a Havant side who are 5/1 title favourites.
Dartford will be in action again on Tuesday when they travel to Hampton for their first away league game.
Summer signing Tom Champion misses both matches through suspension while Elliot Bradbrook is banned for the opener against Havant.
