Delays after multi-vehicle crash on M20 between Wrotham and Swanley

There are delays on the M20 London-bound following a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Fire crews were called to the scene between junction 2 of the carriageway and junction 3 of the M25 for the Swanley interchange shortly after 3pm.

Two fire engines attended and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one casualty, who was passed into the care of the ambulance service. No other casualties were reported.

Kent Police and Highways England were also in attendance.

Spokesman for Kent Police Vicki Foster said: "Kent Police was called at 2.50pm on 3 December 2020 to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the coastbound carriageway of the A20 near Swanley.

"No injuries have been reported. Lanes closures are in place while the vehicles are recovered."

One lane remains open and there are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 18:30 and 18:45 on 3 December 2020.
