Drivers faced 12-mile queues on the M25 following a diesel spillage this afternoon.

The motorway has now reopened after an earlier closure anticlockwise between junction 31 and junction 30 in Essex due to the diesel spillage - which happened just after 1.30pm.

All closures have now been lifted.
