M25 lorry breakdown causes delays through Dartford tunnel

There's plenty of trouble for motorists travelling through the M25 Dartford Tunnel this morning.

Earlier a lorry broke down on the exit at the anticlockwise route from M25 J1A (Swanscombe) to M25 J31 (Lakeside/Purfleet) and the eastern tunnel had to be closed.

It caused long delays with congestion trailing back to J3 of the M20, the Swanley Interchange.

The lorry has now been recovered and the tunnel re-opened, but there is still slow moving traffic as the congestion clears.
