The east tunnel and one lane of the west tunnel were due to be closed from 8pm tomorrow until 10am on Sunday.

Their closure was needed in order to re-waterproof a section of the northbound M25 carriageway where it crosses above the Purfleet Interchange at junction 31.

New dates for these works will be announced in due course.

The Dartford Crossing carries more than 180,000 vehicles every day.

National Highways is a wholly government-owned company responsible for modernising, maintaining and operating England’s motorways and major A roads.
