Dartford Crossing queues as M25 backed up towards M20 at Swanley

Miles of queues have been building on the M25 again due to congestion at the Dartford Crossing.

The anti-clockwise carriageway was tailing back for five miles towards the M20 interchange at J3 for Swanley earlier this afternoon.

No incidents in the tunnels at the crossing have been reported and the delays are due to heavy traffic leaving Kent.

Drivers are warned of travel times through the problems of about 30 minutes.

Traffic was clear again at about 6pm.
