Delays close to Dartford Crossing after flooding shuts one lane on Bob Dunn Way

Storm Dennis continues to wreck havoc on the roads with several floods this morning.

One lane has been shut on Bob Dunn Way on the approach to the Dartford Crossing after excess rainfall overnight.

Drivers have been told to approach with caution and expect delays.

Flood warnings remain in place throughout the county.

A flood alert has been issued for the Dartford Marshes and the surrounding land.

The government's flood information service warned: "The main risk of the heaviest rainfall associated with Storm Dennis has now passed, but there remains the risk of some further isolated showers during the early hours.

River levels rose during the day today although they are now peaked and are falling in some locations. Some continued isolated flooding of roads and land close to rivers in the area is possible, some standing flood waters may remain.
