Four Swanscombe men arrested after reported stolen van recovered in Milton Road

Four men have been arrested after a delivery van reported to be stolen was recovered.

Police were called to Milton Road, Swanscombe following reports a delivery driver's vehicle had been taken at around 5.40pm last night.

No serious injuries were sustained and officers located the van in Leonard Avenue, near the top of Irving Walk.

Shortly after two 18-year-old men and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery just before 8pm the same night.

A 40-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

All those arrested are from the Swanscombe area and have each been released on bail, pending further enquiries, until March 31.

The van was delivering items that had been ordered online but it has not been confirmed what retailer, or retailers the courier was acting on behalf of.
