Police and health and safety officials are investigating after a man died at a former quarry site.

Emergency crews were called to the former Ebbsfleet Quarry on Tuesday.

The Health and Safety Executive later confirmed there had been a fatality.

An HSE inspector said: "The HSE is supporting a Kent Police investigation into a fatal incident at the former Ebbsfleet Quarry site that occurred on Tuesday, September 21."

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service have been approached for further information.
