Police are releasing images of £30,000 worth of jewellery that was stolen in a robbery at Bourne and Kemp Jewellers in Longfield.

The Station Road store had its display window smashed around midday on Wednesday, June 20.

Officers, who have only just released pictures caught on a mobile phone, say two men grabbed jewellery from the window and headed off to a waiting Silver Mercedes 4x4.

It was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen a month before from Surrey.

The car had been fitted with false number plates and was later found abandoned in Horton Kirby.

Detective Constable Chris Mason said: “The jewellery is all hand made and bespoke to Bourne and Kemp Jewellers.

“Each piece is individually marked with the jewellers own hallmark and only sold through their shop in Longfield.

“If anyone has been approached with any of the jewellery shown in the images, please contact police.

“Alternatively anyone who remembers seeing the vehicle being abandoned in Horton Kirby should speak to officers.

“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, may help officers with their investigation.’

One of the men was described as wearing a pea green jacket, 6ft tall and of stocky build.

The second man was described as of athletic build and between 5ft 7 and 5ft 10.

Images of the stolen jewellery can be viewed here.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
