Suspected drug dealer Gibril Kamara, 26, of Station Road, Gravesend, charged with drug offences in Dartford

A suspected drug dealer who tried to flee police has been charged with supplying Class A drugs.

Officers pulled over a vehicle in Bevis Close, Dartford, at around 9pm on Monday and tried to detain the driver so they could search the vehicle.

But before they could, the man is said to have made a dash for it. Officers chased him, stopped him and returned to carry out the search where they found a knife and a large stash of Class A drugs.

Gibril Kamara, 26, of Station Road, Gravesend, was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin, possessing a knife and acquiring criminal property.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and has been bailed to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on March 16.
