A busy 10-mile stretch of the M25 will be shut overnight for several days.

Drivers are urged to avoid the stretch between junctions 3 for Swanley and 4 for Orpington.

The clockwise carriageway will be closed from tonight for six consecutive nights.

The anti-clockwise M25 will be closed from Wednesday to Friday July 15 weeknights only.

The work will be carried out between 10pm and 5.30am. Work on Friday will take place between 11pm and 6am.

Diversions will be in place via the A20 and A224.
