A 26-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Donna Eastwood.
The mother-of-four, also 26, of Almond Road, Stone, died over the weekend.
Her body was discovered when firefighters were called to a burning car in Rowhill Road, Wilmington, at 6.20am on Saturday.
Police arrested Joshua Caird, of Almond Road, Dartford, on October 19 and charged him with murder yesterday evening.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning flanked by a court security officer and two police officers, and was led into the dock in handcuffs.
Caird was originally expected to appear via video link, but was there in person. He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
Magistrates remanded Caird in custody until Thursday, when he will appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
After Caird was charged, Ms Eastwood's family said in a statement: "Donna was a loving mother and will always be mummy and daddy's little angel.
"All her family loved her and life will not be the same without her.
"Thank you to all her friends for their kind words."
Yesterday, mourners wept at the roadside outside Ms Eastwood's house as they as they paid their respects to a "beautiful angel".
