Man flashes at pupil near Wilmington Academy school

A school has warned parents to be extra vigilant after a man approached a teenage girl before exposing himself on Dartford Heath.

Police were called at 8.05am today amid reports the girl was approached by the man.

He then exposed himself to the 15-year-old girl before running off in the direction of Shepherds Lane.

Police are investigating the incident, and say enquiries are ongoing.

Staff at Wilmington Academy have now issued a warning following the incident.

In a statement issued on Facebook, the school said: "We have had an incident this morning on Dartford Heath.

"To ensure your child's safety please ensure they are not travelling alone across the Heath.

"The students are being spoken today at tutor time."

Reports on social media had earlier claimed the man tried to snatch the girl, and other pupils had fended him off.
