Three fire engines attended and crews wore breathing apparatus while using hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said one man suffered slight burns as a result of the incident, and was passed into the care of ambulance crews.

It's believed the fire started accidentally when a gas canister exploded.

Following the fire, crews are reminding people to store all gas cylinders safely and well away from any heat sources, and to only keep the minimum number of cylinders you need.

If you smell gas or think your appliance may be leaking, turn it off, do not use it, and contact your supplier.
