Attempted murder charges after Dartford stabbing leaves man with serious injuries

A man suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in an alleged attack by three men who have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Two of the suspects have now been charged following the incident in Dartford on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called at about 3.30pm on November 20 to reports a man in his 20s had been attacked in Farnol Road.

It was alleged he was set upon by three people and sustained stab wounds to his leg.

The victim remains in hospital in London in a stable condition.

Elias Spencer, 22, of South Road, Forest Hill, London, and Grant Odejeh, 20, of Knights Manor Way, Dartford were arrested after attending Kent Police headquarters in Northfleet on Monday.

Both were later charged by detectives from the Medway Criminal Investigation Department with attempted murder and possessing a knife in a public place.

Odjeh has also been accused of making threats to kill while Spencer will face a further charge of committing an act to pervert the course of justice after allegedly threatening a witness.

Both men were remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court in Chatham yesterday.

They were further held on remand and will appear at Woolwich Crown Court on December 22.

A third person – an 18-year-old man from Dartford – was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday. He was released on bail pending further investigation until December 14.
