Road closed after accident in London Road, Greenhithe

Police have closed a road after a collision between a car and a motorbike.

Buses have been redirected following the crash, which happened outside The Bull pub in London Road, Greenhithe, at 11am.

Officers remain at the scene, and the motorcyclist has been taken to Kings College Hospital for treatment, with "potentially serious injuries".

Passengers on the 480 have been diverted via St Clements Lakes, according to a community Facebook page.

South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman, Rich Airey, said: "I can confirm we were called at approximately 2pm to reports of an RTC involving a vehicle and a moped.

"The rider was assessed and treated at the scene by ambulance crews before being taken to Kings College Hospital."

Police inquiries are ongoing.
