Works are progressing on a 750-home housing estate near Bluewater.
Taylor Wimpey's Knights Reach development in Stone, near Dartford, was granted outline planning permission in 2022 by the council.
The first phase of access works for the development, off Watling Street, started in October 9 last year and were completed in mid-December.
It involved a new “bellmouth” entrance to the development being created from Watling Street.
A spine road linking Watling Street with London Road was also created.
The second phase was carried out immediately after, and the new access road has now been finished.
The works were split into two phases to minimise disruption to residents.
Taylor Wimpey contractors will carry out final works to install new streetlights and a small section of drainage after enabling works by a third party are complete.
Some 24% of the homes will be affordable housing and there will be a mix of two, two-and-a-half (living accommodation in the roof), three and four-storey dwellings with 1,386 parking spaces.
When Taylor Wimpey held a public exhibition on August 15, 2022, there was backlash from neighbours angry at the proposals.
Council members also raised a number of points at a presentation in December, which the building firm addressed.
Three new show homes will open at Knights Reach this summer. Information can be found here.
A Taylor Wimpey spokesperson said: “Works to create a permanent access from Watling Street to our Knights Reach development have progressed well and the new road is now in use.
“Following necessary works that will be carried out by a third party, our contractors will complete a small number of outstanding items, including the enlivenment of streetlights.
“We are pleased to have opened our sales office at the development and look forward to opening our show homes and welcoming the first residents later this year.”
