The new shop filling the former Disney store unit in Bluewater has been revealed.
It has been confirmed that the Dartford shopping centre’s Clarks store is moving into the old toy shop in just a few days.
The shoe shop, which was located in the Upper Rose Gallery, shut its doors to customers on Sunday evening.
However, bosses of the chain have confirmed it will be opening back up in its new “modern” home on Thursday, March 14.
A spokesman for the company said: “We’ll still be selling men’s, women’s and kid’s shoes – and offering our measure and fit service too – all in a brand new, more modern store.
“The store is expertly constructed to embody the brand’s trademark craftsmanship and industry-leading innovation via a contemporary new look, bold design storytelling and rebooted merchandising.
“Materials throughout the Modern Workshops creatively combine Clarks’ architectural heritage and vision for the future.
“The ply used is inspired by their iconic design workshop in Street, Somerset and utilises recyclable and recycled materials that drive the brands ethos.
“With community at their core, Clarks’ people-first spirit will be cemented by in-store activations, events, and services.
“Clarks go beyond retailing shoes into the realms of connecting with consumers through multi-faceted brand experience.”
The Disney Store, which was Kent’s only branch, closed back in September 2021.
A member of staff confirmed the news to KentOnline and said the reason for the closure was a "business decision".
The shop stocked Disney merchandise, including toys, clothing and gifts and providing interactive experiences for children of all ages.
