Three weeks ago, The Oasis and Warehouse Group began discussions with buyers and was approached by an unnamed company, which is thought to have backed out due to the uncertainly caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The group has 90 stores and 437 concessions in department stores nationwide.

In Kent Oasis has standalone stores in Bluewater in Dartford, Bexleyheath, Bromley and Tenterden, and concessions in House of Fraser in both Bluewater and Maidstone, as well as Sainsbury's in Herne Bay.

Warehouse has a standalone shop in Bluewater and concessions in Fenwicks in Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury, as well as House of Fraser in Maidstone.

Maidstone's branch of Oasis closed its doors for good shortly after Christmas.

The stores join the likes of Debenhams, Laura Ashley, Cath Kidston, Carluccio's and BrightHouse, which have all been in talks with administrators in recent weeks.
