An urgent appeal has been made to help find a man who was seen being kicked in the head on CCTV, and may need medical help.

The man was attacked as he lay on the ground in Dartford High Street, and police are "extremely concerned" as they don't know what happened to him.

Officers are now appealing for help to find him.

CCTV operators caught on camera a man apparently being assaulted as he lay on the ground at 2.07am this morning. It followed a disturbance in the High Street.

A suspect for the assault was arrested by officers in nearby Lowfield Street a short time later.

He was taken into custody, but later released on bail unter September 2.

Despite a number of checks, including with local hospitals, officers have been unable to trace the victim who left the scene. They are now worried for his welfare.

"We have concerns he may have sustained a serious injury..."

PC Hannah Hills said: "The victim was kicked to the head and it is important to establish whether he sought medical help.

"We have concerns he may have sustained a serious injury and are asking anyone who may know him, or who has any other information, to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone who can help should call Kent Police on 101, quoting reference 46/137862/20.
