Police want to track down a man following an attempted robbery in Greenhithe.

Officers investigating the crime - which resulted in an unsuccessful handbag theft - have released a computer generated image of a man they want to speak to.

A woman was approached as she walked in Steele Avenue at about 8.45pm on Tuesday, July 24.

A man thought to have light brown hair and beard tried to snatch her handbag but failed to make off with it.
