Bomb disposal team called to Church Field in Dartford

Roads in Dartford were closed after a suspicious package was found.

Police were called at 11.34pm to Church Field after electrical items were found.

Experts from the Ministry of Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called to inspect the items.

Drivers were advised to avoid Hawley Road junctions with Oakfield Lane and with Church Hill, as well as the junction of Warren Road while they carried out inquiries.

The items were not explosives and do not pose any risk to public safety.

The roads are now fully reopen.
