A motorcyclist has suffered serious head injuries in a crash.

The accident, which also involved a car, happened in Shepherds Lane in Dartford at around 4.20pm.

Three quick response cars, one road ambulance and an air ambulance attended the scene alongside police.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 4.22pm following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle, a Honda XR 125, in Shepherds Lane, Dartford.

"The motorcyclist – a man in his 20s – has suffered serious head injuries and the air ambulance is in attendance."

The man was taken by road ambulance to Kings College Hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
