Head teacher Karen Trowell said all members of the child's "bubble" - which included eight pupils and two members of staff - have had to self isolate following guidance from Public Health England.

She said: "I can confirm that a member of our school community has recently tested positive for Covid-19.

"We have consulted with, and followed the guidance from, Public Health England and as a result we have instructed all members of the ‘bubble’ to self-isolate.

"Public Health England have endorsed and commended our actions.

"The rest of the school remains open for Foundation Stage, Year 1, Year 6 and children of key workers."
