Long queues forming on A282 Dartford Crossing approach

Drivers are stuck in stop-start traffic on the approach to the Dartford Crossing.

Long queues are forming on the A282 trunk road leading to the busy river crossing between Kent and Essex this morning.

Congestion is stretching back past the anti-clockwise entry slip road at junction 2 of the M25 which is causing queues to form on the A2 and near Junction 1B for the Princes Road Interchange. Travel time is currently 35 minutes.

Traffic monitoring tool Inrix is also reporting one lane is closed with queueing traffic due to a broken down car on the Essex-side of the M25 headed clockwise at Junction 31 near Lakeside.
