A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van outside a school.

Police were called after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian outside the Leigh Academy in Dartford.

Officers were called to Green Street, Green Road shortly after 8am this morning.

Paramedics were also in attendance at the busy junction near Princes Road and a teenage girl was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Patrols remain at the scene and police say the driver stopped following the crash.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Leigh Academies Trust were approached for more information.
