The Beach at Bluewater is back from July 25 until Sunday September 6 with tickets now on sale

School's out for summer and The Beach is back at Bluewater – but this time with some changes to meet the latest government guidelines surrounding coronavirus.

The shopping centre near Dartford has announced the fairground-style attraction – complete with giant splash pool and sand – is returning for its fourth year.

But to reflect restrictions in place, there will be reduced capacity each day, track and trace details collected for all guests and social distancing expected alongside rigorous cleaning regimes and hand sanitising stations.

Visitors will also be expected to wear face coverings on rides Aeronaut and No-Limits in line with current rules for theme parks, with those not bringing their own able to buy on site before boarding the rides.

The attraction, which is built outside on a Bluewater car park, will be open from Saturday, July 25 until Sunday, September 6 and is promising fun activities for all ages.

Alongside the funfair rides and classic fairground stalls those wishing to relax can take a deckchair and lounge in the summer sun beside the splash pool and sandy setting, or grab refreshments from a range of food and drink kiosks.

Live entertainment is also returning with performances from Punch and Judy, magic shows, balloon modelling and a teddy bears' picnic amongst the events scheduled to take place each week.

All entertainers, say organisers, will have the necessary personal protective equipment to maintain guest safety and those coming to the Teddy Bears' Picnic activities must stay within their family bubbles.
