Third suspect charged over South Darenth shop robbery

A third man has been charged in connection with robberies at shops in Dartford and South Darenth.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen and threats were made to staff in a series of offences at stores between January and June 2019.

Officers arrested Aden Darwin of Snipe Close, Erith, on Monday, June 17 and he has now been charged with a robbery on June Wednesday June 12 at a shop in Esparto Way, South Darenth.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Medway Magistrates' court today.

Previously Danny Collins, 32, of Larkswood Close, Erith and Daniel Ramsden, 43, of Third Avenue, Eastchurch were charged with robberies at shops in Colney Road, Dartford, on Thursday June 6 and Esparto Way, South Darenth, on Wednesday June 12.

Mr Collins was further charged with a robbery at a shop in Colney Road, Dartford, on January 3.

Both were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday July 12.
