There was heavy traffic around the Dartford Crossing after a three-vehicle accident.

One lane was closed on the QEII Bridge at about 5pm.

Traffic was queueing from Essex into Kent .

It was only just returning to normal after a broken down vehicle shut two lanes on the bridge for 30 minutes until 4pm.

Traffic returned to normal by 6pm.
