Woman, 20, dies after crash in East Hill Road, Dartford

A woman has died following a serious collision late last night.

Police were called to East Hill Road, Dartford, at around 11.45pm on Friday, along with an air ambulance and paramedics.

It's now been confirmed that a 20-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been made aware.

The victim was a passenger in a black Vauxhall Meriva which was involved in a collision with a black VW Touareg.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the collision to come forward.

Spokesman Chris Herbert said: "Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and have urged any witnesses who may have seen this collision or have dashcam footage of it to come forward.

"Witnesses should call 01622 798538, quoting reference number HW/DC/69/19 with any information."

The A226 was cordoned off in both directions at East Hill due to the incident, from Darenth Road to the A296, Park Road.

Transport for London has issued alerts about its Route 492 service, which is missing stops between The Brent and Overy Street, eastbound, and Market Street, westbound.

It says Routes 96 and 428 are not on diversion but may be subject to delay.
