Helen Devall charged with damaging property in Swanscombe graveyard

A 46-year-old is to appear in court after ornaments were damaged in a graveyard.

Helen Devall has been charged with five counts of criminal damage.

Police were called at 2.12pm on Thursday to reports someone had targeted flowers, vases and ornaments on graves at a cemetery in Park Road, Swanscombe.

They searched the area and made an arrest.

Devall, of Rayfield Close, Bromley, has also been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, relating to an incident while in custody, where she remains.

She is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 26.

Swanscombe councillor Emma Ben Moussa made people aware of the vandalism on her social media.
