Six-vehicle crash on A2/A282 at Dartford

A woman has been cut from the wreckage of a six-vehicle pile-up.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment following the crash on the A2 on the coastbound approach to the A282 near Dartford Heath late last night.

Two other people were injured and at least one was taken to hospital. It is not thought anyone was seriously hurt.

Two crews were called to the scene just before midnight and left at 20 to one.

The carriageway was closed while debris was removed and vehicles recovered and it reopened at around 2.30am.

The ambulance service have been asked for more information.

Highways officials made the road safe before it reopened.
