Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus.

The victim became aware of a man coming up to the top deck and sitting directly behind her. She then became aware of pressure to her side, and the man began to touch her inappropriately.

The victim moved to another seat, but the man continued to touch her until she left the bus.

A release from the Met Police says says detectives are "urgently looking to identify" the man in the CCTV.

Detective Sergeant Ian Beattie, from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “This was an incredibly upsetting incident for the victim. I would ask anyone who recognises this man to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
