Darts boss Tony Burman is weighing up making an offer to experienced midfielder Barry Cogan.

The Irishman has Football League experience behind him and helped Dover to promotion via the Conference South play-offs in 2014.

That experience could be crucial for the Darts this season as they seek a return to the Vanarama National League.

Burman said: “He’s not someone I consider to be a trialist. He’s an experienced player but I do have players here who play in that area.

“He only lives locally and he would be a great addition. He won promotion from the Conference South and that experience is something that can be put over to the younger members of the team.

“He knows what it’s like to win leagues and that’s nice to have. He’s a quality player.”
