Dartford and Tonbridge Angels see scheduled National League South games called off; Darts sign Jamar Loza on loan and re-sign Jernade Meade

Both Dartford and Tonbridge have seen this Saturday’s scheduled National League South matches called off due to frozen pitches.

The Darts, second in the table, had been due to host Taunton while Jay Saunders’ 10th-placed side were meant to visit Hampton & Richmond.

New dates for both fixtures will be announced in due course.

But Dartford manager Alan Dowson has this week still bolstered his squad.

Former Maidstone forward Jamar Loza has signed on an initial one-month loan from National League Barnet.

Jamaican international Loza, 28, previously played for Dowson on loan at Woking and helped them win promotion to the National League.

Left-sided player Jernade Meade has re-signed with Dartford too.

The 30-year-old, who came through Arsenal’s youth ranks, signed for the club in 2020 before last summer departing to seek a club at a higher level.

He had been spending the season at fellow National League South side Hemel Hempstead but returns on a permanent deal for the rest of the season.
