Star striker Adam Birchall gave Dover a boost ahead of their FA Cup clash with Gillingham by agreeing an extension to his contract.

The prolific marksman has signed a two-year extension to his existing deal that keeps him at the club until 2013.

Birchall signed a two-year contract at Crabble in July 2009, having been released by Barnet earlier in the summer.

He has played more than 150 games in the Football League.
