Body found near Betteshanger Park in Deal

A body of a man has been found close to a country park.

Police were called to the incident near to Betteshanger Road in Deal at 9am yesterday.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 9am on Sunday, July 14 2019 following the death of a man in his 30s.

"Officers attended the scene, near to Betteshanger Road in Deal, where his death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

"A report will now be prepared for the coroner and the man’s next of kin are aware."

It is understood the discovery was made on the public right of way at the edge of Betteshanger Business Park.

The incident did not affect activities at Betteshanger Country Park on the opposite side of the road.
