A man was attacked at a property containing cannabis plants.

The victim, in his 50s, was injured in an assault by two men in St Martin's Road, Deal, between 4.30pm and 5pm yesterday.

But officers who attended founded cannabis plants and cultivation equipment, which were all seized.

A man aged 51, from Norwich, was arrested on suspicion of assault and cultivating cannabis.

He has been released on bail until November 17.

The assault victim was taken to hospital.

Det Insp Cara Ferguson said: "We are carrying out enquiries in relation to locating the second suspect."
