Men praised by police officers after helping passengers of Vauxhall Corsa that was flipped onto its roof in Station Road, St Margaret's at Cliffe

Two men have been praised by police officers after helping a driver and his passenger when a car was found spinning on its roof in Station Road, St Margaret's at Cliffe on Saturday.

The men, in their 20s, discovered the blue Vauxhall Corsa spinning upside down just before 8pm in the area known as the dip in Station Road.

They quickly set about warning oncoming traffic of the hazard and telephoned emergency services.

Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived on scene after 8pm.

The driver and his female passenger were treated for neck and back injuries.

The road was blocked as a result.

No other cars were involved.

The men do not wish to be named but they were told by officers on scene their actions had possibly prevented another crash.
