Lewwis Spence rescued a point for Dover in their Blue Square South Bet promotion clash with Chelmsford City on Monday evening.

The Whites took the lead at Melbourne Park through Adam Birchall's 38th goal of the season on 38 minutes, however four minutes before the break Rob Edmans levelled for the hosts and he turned the game on its head with a second on 61 minutes.

However Dover battled on and Spence (pictured) snatched an equaliser in the third minute of stoppage time.

The point left Dover in eighth, three places outside the play-off places, however only three points adrift having played a game less than the sides above them.
