Deal Town manager Derek Hares is targeting a six-point Easter to keep alive his side’s chances of a high finish in the Bulmers Cider Kent League table.

Deal are at home to Tunbridge Wells on Saturday before travelling to second-from-bottom Fisher on Easter Monday and Hares said: "We need two wins this weekend if we are going to achieve our target of finishing in the top six which would be a good effort."

After beating Erith Town 2-1 at home on Saturday, Deal were also in action at leaders Faversham on Tuesday night, going down 6-1.

Commenting on the win over Erith, Hares (pictured) said: "We played well in the first half but then fell away after the break and I think the penalty we were awarded was a bit harsh.

"But you take what you are given and it was three points we needed after losing to Norton in midweek."

Sean Brown (shin), Shane Suter (groin) and Jamie Marriott (hamstring) all missed the Erith game, which saw Hares’ side complete their first league double of the season.
