Dover Athletic boss Martin Hayes believes Blue Square Bet South is wide open

Manager Martin Hayes believes Dover Athletic are one of six teams battling for three play-off places.

Hayes thinks Braintree or Ebbsfleet are likely to take the first spot with the other play-off places up for grabs.

He said: "After the FA Cup run ended we had a strong batch of games against some of the top teams in the division but we have stayed in touching distance.

"Now we can look to pick up points against the lower teams while some of the other top teams take points off each other. It is up to us but I am more than confident."

Hayes also revealed midfielder Joe Tabiri will return from his loan at Lewes after Saturday’s game to boost Whites’ play-off push.

Olly Schulz is a week from returning, while Sam Long (groin) could miss a further 10 days.
