Dover Athletic boss Nicky Forster will run the rule over two potential new signings in this weekend’s friendly visit of Brighton.

Forster admits there are ‘a couple of areas’ he’s looking to strengthen and is set to welcome the trialists into the fray for Saturday’s game at Crabble (3pm).

The pair came to his attention during the trial day at the ground at the start of the month where Forster oversaw a full day of training for 24 trialists.

Forster (pictured) said: "There are a couple of boys that I’d like to have another look at and we might try and get them involved on Saturday.

"We want to push forward and their are a couple of areas which I think we still need to address.

"I’d have liked to have had them back before now, but one is on a pre-arranged trial at another club and the other has picked up a knock."

Meanwhile an error by kit supplier Surridge Sports has seen Dover’s intended gold third shirt for this season printed in bright orange, while the gold detail on the home shirt also came out in orange after a mistake with the entry of a number into a machine during the printing process.

After discussions between the firm and chairman Jim Parmenter, the club opted to stick with the new colour scheme.

Mr Parmenter said: "The time on a replacement kit is over 10 weeks, this would have had a knock on effect for supporters wanting replicas and so we have decided to go ahead with the orange.

"Having shown the kits to the players on Saturday, they actually quite liked it."

Forster said: "I don’t care what colour we play in, so long as we are successful."
