Manager Andy Hessenthaler believes Dover still have a "massive chance" of reaching the Blue Square South play-off final despite Tuesday’s 2-1 semi-final first leg defeat at Woking.

Tuesday’s game could hardly have started better for Whites as centre-half Olly Schulz rose unchallenged to head home a third-minute corner.

But Woking drew level 13 minutes later though Moses Ademola and Matthew Wright then put them ahead five minutes before the break.

Whites dominated possession in the second half and, although they were unable to find a second goal, they achieved the manager’s (pictured) target of "keeping the tie alive for the second leg."

Matt Fish made a brief appearance as a substitute after recovering from a knee injury, and the right back is likely to figure for somewhat longer in the second leg as Dover go looking for goals.

The eventual winners will meet Bath or Chelmsford in next Thursday’s (May 6) final. Bath won 2-0 at home in the first leg of their semi-final.
