Industrial action by a small number of Norfolkline staff at Dunkirk has led to short delays on the company’s Dover-Dunkirk service.

Norfolkline is currently having talks with staff who work at the Dunkirk terminal about changing working processes. The company says this will improve operational efficiency and increase the levels of service offered to customers.

“Unfortunately, as a result of these discussions, a small number of our employees have decided to engage in industrial action,” said a company spokesman.

“Our vessels are still operating to schedule but you may experience short delays at the port so please allow extra time for check-in.

“We can assure you that we are doing all we can to bring this dispute to a satisfactory conclusion. Norfolkline will continue to hold constructive dialogue with personnel groups and representatives.
