Police raid property in Deal after smelling suspected cannabis

It was simple sense of smell that led police to find these plants in a cannabis raid.

The pungent odour led officers to a property in Deal where one person was arrested.

The Dover Community Policing Team then found these suspect plants in the garden.

It happened yesterday morning.

A tweet from Kent Police at Dover explained: "Using sense of smell, #DoverCPT officers traced their way to an address in #Deal where they identified an address where cannabis was believed to be growing.

"Occupant was arrested which provided instant search powers locating a significant crop in the garden."
