I've got nothing to prove to Bishop's Stortford, says Dover boss Martin Hayes

Dover manager Martin Hayes returns to former club Bishop's Stortford on Saturday, still hurting after they sacked him two years ago.

Hayes (pictured) was relieved of his duties in November 2008 after more than 500 games in charge as Stortford's longest-serving manager.

Under his tenure, Stortford reached the FA Trophy semi-final in 2005 and the Blue Square South play-offs two years later.

But Hayes is still upset by the manner of his departure and will be looking for Dover to claim maximum points.

"I have got nothing to prove to them," he said.

"I want to get a result there, and if we do, I will enjoy it afterwards in my own way."

Defender Tom Wynter looks set to miss the trip with a twisted ankle but could be fit to face old club Gillingham in the FA Cup on November 6.
